What is the Student Bar Association?
The Student Bar Association (SBA) at the University of Houston Law Center is the official student government organization. Dedicated to serving the needs and concerns of the student body, SBA acts as the primary voice and advocate for students within the Law Center community. By representing student interests to faculty, administration, and external entities, SBA plays a crucial role in shaping the academic and social environment at the Law Center. Serving as the umbrella organization for all student groups, SBA fosters a sense of community and facilitates various programs and events throughout the year to promote student well-being and success.
Forums and Advocacy
As the representative body for the Law Center, SBA hosts forums to provide a platform for students to voice their concerns, complaints, and suggestions. These forums serve as a direct line of communication between students and the Law Center’s administration. Through active engagement and advocacy, SBA ensures that student voices are heard and acted upon, contributing to the continuous improvement of the academic atmosphere and overall student experience. By maintaining close contact with the administration, SBA works diligently to address student needs and champion their interests within the Law Center community and beyond.
